Sally Carrott Tournament 2011

Press Release to the West Sussex Gazette:

The Sally Carrott Memorial Tennis Tournament takes place each June (25th June 2011) at the West Chiltington Tennis Club. Sue Walters, a past chairman and long term member of the club, started the event 8 years ago in memory of Sally who was a much loved member and died of Breast cancer in March 2002. The event includes a fun day of doubles tennis for the women members of the club and a lovely lunch and refreshments. All funds raised are in aid of Breast Cancer care and Macmillan Nurses. This year 2 day passes for the second week of Wimbledon have been presented by Sally’s family. They will be raffled to all those attending the event with all the proceeds going to the 2 charities mentioned above.

The results for this year were:

Winners: Fay Welch and Kellie Joy
Runners up: Clare Beeching and Julie Carrott
